A Jining cultural tourism exchange event took place in Jining's Qufu on Sept 7, welcoming a group of Thai students and teachers to explore Confucian culture. The event deepens Sino-Thai cultural ties and promotes the city's unique cultural and tourism resources.

Qufu in Jining, East China's Shandong province, the birthplace of Confucius and the cradle of Confucianism, features rich history and Chinese culture. Thai students immersed in the rich Confucian heritage and cultural charm of Qufu through diverse activities, strengthening cultural interaction between the two countries.

At the mansion of a descendant of Yan Hui, a revered disciple of Confucius, the Thai students participated in traditional culture study courses. They learned about the history and techniques of rubbings, practiced ancient painting skills, and experienced guqin (a seven-stringed zither) performances under the guidance of professional teachers.

Many expressed that the visit not only gave them a vivid sense of Chinese traditional culture but also deepened their understanding of Confucius and Confucianism.
